Amphitheater Education Center Adds New Critter Spin Box Information Display

The Wildlife Habitat Amphitheater Education Center recently added a new Critter Spin Box Information Display. This display is introduced to support active learning by engaging adults and children on a variety of topics, including wildlife terms, species’ habitat, lifecycle, migration, and more.

Kenneth Dodd, Chairperson of the Wildlife Habitat Program, spent six months researching, designing, and constructing the display. The display features sixteen different species, from the Brewer’s Blackbird, Great White Egret, and Great Horned Owl to the Western Fence Lizard.

This display reminds our members that habitat management is the most critical aspect of wildlife conservation. Habitat loss presents the greatest threat to wildlife. To provide a viable habitat, five essential elements must be present: food, water, cover, space, and arrangement.
